DJ Soo - www.woodnsoo.comClassically trained at a young age, DJ SOO encountered the art of DJing almost by accident when stumbling upon a performance by the legendary DJ Q-bert at his college many years ago. Originally focusing on his first loves of hiphop beats and drum n bass, DJ SOO eventually decided to eschew traditional genre lines by mixing anything and everything together in a cohesive style. Now considered one of Vancouver’s best eclectic DJs, SOO brings the funk - regardless of which genre the funk belongs - to the dancefloor. Although he has garnered the dubious distinction of being known as a “mash-up” dj, Soo prefers to consider himself simply as a dj of great music communicated via the art of mixing. Having been involved in countless residencies and having opened for a virtual who’s who list of international talent (including such artists as Q-Bert, Lorin Bassnecter, and Stanton Warriors), DJ SOO is poised to take his unique style to dancefloors throughout the world. |

MC Flowpro - www.myspace.com/mc_flowproStarting out in 97 in Edmonton as a hip-hop MC, Flowpro and his crew lived the hip-hop lifestyle to the fullest. In 98/99 he heard drum n’ bass DJs with MCs on Spilt Milk’s radio show, “Catch the Beat”. He began seeking out these new sounds and listened to MC’s such as Rage, Fearless and Det and would buy every Drum and Bass 8 pack tape set coming out of the UK. He also read an interview with MC Det that gave him full insight and comprehension of the role of a DnB MC. Flowpro owned his skills and began to get lots of recognition in the Alberta DnB scene. As one of the main MC’s in the scene he played numerous club’s and had a weekly residency at Y afterhours. He’s MC’d alongside world class artists such as Aphrodite, Zinc, John Rolodex, Limewax, Evol Intent, Concord Dawn, Spor, High Contrast and more. With his addition to the Shadow Jugglers roster, Vancouver is soon to be abuzz with the lyrical styling of the one called Flowpro. |
